The Classic UV 8-Watt Stainless Steel Series is a plastic-free water purifier for small ponds, water features, and aquariums. It has been designed for maximum UV light sanitization and effectiveness and will be easy for experienced and non-experienced users to use. Compact and relatively lightweight, the unit can sterilize 5-200 gallons of fresh water at a flow rate of 642 gph for 30,000 µw/cm2 and 70 gallons of salt water at a flow rate of 214 gph for 90,000 µw/cm2.

In addition to being a plastic-free water purifier, the Classic UV 8-Watt Stainless Steel Series is also chemical-free. Rather than using harsh chemicals that can result in byproducts that may harm the environment, the unit uses a specific wavelength of ultraviolet (UV) light – the same germicidal rays that the sun produces, only 100 times stronger. These rays damage the DNA of contaminants and microorganisms in the water, preventing them from reproducing and rendering them harmless. The result is clean water without an altered taste, smell, or pH.
