Dust mites, mold, bacteria, and germs; every home and building has them floating around in the air. They are optimized to float until they land in an area that they can reproduce in. When inhaled, these particles can cause you to become sick, which forces you to spend hard-earned money a trip to the doctor and for medicine.
These contaminants can also cause you to have dangerous allergic reactions that can send you to the hospital. These reactions can occasionally be lethal.
Our homes trap these microscopic organisms in with us. Our houses are built to be air-tight, to keep our heating and cooling costs down during the winter and summer months. However, because our homes are sealed shut, these germs become trapped in the house, and are free to reproduce if they float to the right conditions, or if we breathe them in. The EPA recently ranked indoor air pollution in the top five of environmental concerns effecting public health. Small, lightweight mold spores and bacteria float freely in the air for children, adults and pets to inhale.
Asthma is one of the most common respiratory disorders in the world. About 34.1 million Americans have been diagnosed with asthma. 300 million people world wide suffer from asthma. In the United States in 2005, 3,384 deaths could be attributed to asthma attacks. Asthma can be triggered by mold spores and dust mites which are common in a home’s circulating air.
Unfortunately, these particles are too small to be trapped by even a HEPA filter, which is one of the best filters on the market. These organic particles pass through the filter without getting trapped because some of these organisms are smaller then .3 microns. To give you an idea of how big a micron is, the period at the end of this sentence is 397 microns. However with an Aqua Ultraviolet UV air purification system, these allergens and germs can be neutralized by using our UV-C light. Ultraviolet light can kill germs as severe as Tuberculosis, Staphylococcus, and the H1N1 flu bug.
Aqua Ultraviolet’s Air Sterilizers work in conjunction with your home air conditioning and heating systems to purify the air in your home, killing germs and bacteria that do not get caught in your system’s filters. Our UV light goes inside your duct, after your filter, to purify the air as it goes through the system. As the particles pass in front of the UV bulb, the germs, mold and bacteria receive a dose of Ultraviolet Light. The UV light destroys the DNA of the bacteria and kills it on a molecular level. We have two air purification models to fit your family’s needs. One model produces ozone, and one does not. This way, you can choose what is best for your family.
Our Air Sterilizers will help keep your family safe from mold spores, bacteria, dust
mites and germs. Choose Aqua Ultraviolet. The name you trust for your water purification needs can now be the same name you use for your residential air purification system. Aqua Ultraviolet wants to contribute towards protecting people who suffer from asthma from having attacks while at home.
